Demeter was inspired by the velvety texture of fresh calypso orchid petals and created their fragrance to capture the olfactory impression of these flowers. It has an exotic, almost tropical, feel to it and Demter wanted to create an experience of bathing in orchid petals. Calypso Orchid is also known as the Fairy Slipper or Venus Slipper because of its shape. It is a cologne.
