Perfume Description

A dark mysterious fragrance with notes of incense, mellowed by notes of myrrh, amber and a hint of vanilla. This has been referred to as crypt-like, but in a good way.  This is the scent Deborah Harkness (author of the All Souls Trilogy that inlucdes A Discovery of Witches: A Novel (All Souls Trilogy) and Shadow of Night: A Novel (All Souls Trilogy) currently No. 1 on the NY Times Bestseller list in August 2012, actually punting "50 Shades of Grey") and Alyssa Harad (author of Coming to My Senses: A Story of Perfume, Pleasure, and an Unlikely Bride Coming to My Senses) chose to scent the main vampire character.  Messe de Minuit is an eau de cologne, edc.  This is the vintage version, red paisley box, square label, not the current version, but it is not the first vintage made, which came in the green paisley box with the round label.

And, Yes, it does smell pretty much like Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride.  (Hi, Reddit!)
