This sampler pack contains all the gateway scents for Frederic Malle.  Malle was first in the perfuming world to recognize the nose behind the perfume, as each perfumer has a very individual style and signature to a perfumes composition. Each bottle has the perfumer's name on the front. The perfumer is given wide latitude to create the scent  - it is not one that is made by committee.  The Malle scents are subtle, accessible and beautiful, though for some it takes a while to appreciate how perfect they are:

• En Passant - Created by Olivia Giocobetti, it makes you think of lilacs and bread. While this sounds like an odd combination, the juxtaposition of the notes and scent memory s just stunning.
• Musc Ravageur - Maurice Roucel is the creator of this, and it is the perfect musk for the beginner or long-time perfumista. Easy to wear, not overpowering, it is the finest example of what a musk perfume should be.
• L'Eau d'Hiver - Created by the gorgeous Jean-Claude Ellena, it means Winter Water.  Notes of bergamot, angelica, iris, hawthorn, jasmine, honey, carnation, heliotrope, caramel and musk.  Understated and elegant, the signature of the prolific perfumer Ellena.
