Frederic Malle Une Rose was released in 2003, created by Eduoard Flechier as a floral fragrance. More than a floral, this is an intoxicating earthy rose scent. Notes of geranium essence, blue chamomile, wine dregs essence, honey, Turkish rose absolute and truffle accord (patchouli accord, vetiver and castoreum absolute) make up this EDP, eau de parfum.

This is such a stunning rose fragrance, the most beautiful and realistic rose fragrance available, in my opinion. It is strong, but so are real fragrant roses. Every rose lover needs to have this in their collection. It has no equal.
And I love roses. This is rich, slightly dark, and yet also bright in a way I don't have language to describe. It projects and lasts and lasts, especially on cloth. I basically went to Paris to get an affordable big FB of this.

There were 3 distinct phases on me: 1)ROSE and wine- wow! Intense, rich, and gorgeous. Almost drinkable. High silage. About 10-15 min. 2)rose and a tart citrus. Perhaps the geranium. A bit sharp for my taste but pleasant and suddenly fresh. Mild silage. Several hours. 3)old, dried rose petals and honey, smelling intermittently like dried saliva or urine(probably the castoreum) which was more strange than unpleasant. I love the complexity but not sure that i would make wearing it an everyday event. And wearing it is really an event.
one of my favorite perfumes ever - simply gorgeous, rich, earthy, enveloping. a perfect rose. Love the glass roll on bottle. I have bought the manufacturer's mini before and it would not spray anymore perfume once it got below a certain level. This perfume is not cheap so I want to get every last drop - roll on applicator is great.
THIS ROSE EDP I COULD LIVE WITH FOREVER…IT IS ALL ROSE AND SEEMS TO INCLUDE THE LEAVES, STEM, EARTH THAT IT GROWS IN AND THE VERY SKY OVERHEAD. IT IS STRONG, FRAGRANT AND FOREVER FOR ME.
I tried this as part of a sampler of Turkish rose scents and this was by and far the very best of the set. Unfortunately it is also very pricey but worth it. Mysterious, intoxicating, subtle and classy, this rose has all the qualities I have been searching for. Better start saving my pennies for this one!
