Catching beautiful wafts of fragrance from the elegant women and posh boutiques on the promenade. Wow, thank you for this amazing experience! Objectively when comparing this fragrance to many modern ones I can say that there is so much to adore about this one that isn't present in contemporary formulations. First, it is mellow and beautifully balanced. It lacks the muscular aggressiveness in the opening that most new designer fragrances have. This is a relief. There is sweetness, almond, cherry, perhaps some ginger that brings this into the realm of gourmand but there is a fresh fruity and light white/yellow floral quality that keep this from going overboard. It's perfectly dainty, refined, feminine- everything that you could ask for in a perfume. It really starts blooming as it warms up on the skin. The scent evolves from fresh and fruity to a gorgeous warm, sweet, dry almond scent that reminds me of amaretto, biscotti and powdered sugar. Absolutely gorgeous!
