Description

Parfumerie Generale Coze Verde 2.1 - The Rework Collection is a green, woody Oriental fragrance that features notes of lime essence, fig sap, spicy nuances, licorice, cocoa, salicylates, patchouli, dry woods and mineral notes. It is an eau de toilette, edt.

The story behind Coze Verde is that it was originally created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Parfumerie Generale. Owner and perfumer Pierre Guillaume showcased Coze Verde and two other fragrances (Feves Tonka and Arabian Horse) at Pitti Fragranze in Florence, Italy in 2012. He introduced the fragrances as his personal achievement as an artist. They were not for sale at the time as they were created only to celebrate the anniversary. Now two of these fragrances and one additional one are available. Under The Rework Collection (a micro-series available only for online purchasing) and using the “X.1” system as all of his fragrances are numbered, Pierre Guillaume revisits or delves deeper into some of his compositions. Whether it is because his style, technique or personal tastes have evolved, or because he has found a new ingredient that enables him to rework his formula, he can retrace his steps to offer new emotions. Coze Verde 2.1 is the revisitation of Coze 2 after 10 years and Arabian Horse 3.1 is the revisitation of Cuir Venenum 3 after 10 years. The third fragrance is his final installment on the topic of tea from Sri Lanka – Vetiver Matale.

His complete reworking of Coze gives us a fresh and leafy variation on the original. From Parfumerie Generale's website: "The tobacco leaf of the core accord goes green with the cool, vegetable freshness of lime and fig tree sap. Liquorice adds a new woody spiciness, while the pepper and pimiento are toned down. The heart notes of patchouli and Indian hemp blended with coffee and cocoa are handled with a lighter hand. The base notes are more streamlined and mineral, with salicylates and dry woods replacing the vanilla pods.”
