If you're looking for a sweet and pretty tuberose in the traditional sense (Beyond Love, Fracas, Carnal Flower), this is not for you. But if you're into daring, different tuberose scents, a la Tubereuse Criminelle, this could be just the thing you've been waiting for. This is a smokey, earthy, broody tuberose. This lady is sipping peated whisky as she invites you to get closer and you can't help but obey. Somehow the juxtaposition of such wildly different notes works here; it's masterfully blended and it really stands out amongst a sea of sweet tuberose. And I really love tuberose, but this is different. It's challenging. It's *interesting.* It's reminiscent of many of the oud scents I've been so into lately - that smokey-sweet note that adds such depth to a composition and has that 'je ne sais quoi'-thing going on I find absolutely intoxicating. A+ for creativity.

I have read raving reviews of this perfume by well known bloggers whose tastes I completely trust.. but wow, did this NOT work for me! Body chemistry plays such a large part in natural perfumes and on me this was... just gross. Like something had died in a pile of dirt and then I spread it on my arm. Like rotten dirt. While some of her perfumes are lovely on me, this was not one of them! But I am definitely in the minority re: Cepes and Tuberose. It has won a bunch of perfume awards.
