Description

Alkemia Dryad was created by Sharra Lamoureaux and is a "playful woodlands frolic of Balsam poplar, Larch, Kukicha twig tea, Pondorosa bark, Australian sandalwood, Wet moss, Violet leaf, Lily of the Valley, and Vanilla grass."

From the brand:

"Here is a voice that soundeth low and far
And lyricvoice of wind among the pines,
Where the untroubled, glimmering waters are,
And sunlight seldom shines.

Elusive shadows linger shyly here,
And wood-flowers blow, like pale, sweet spirit-bloom,
And white, slim birches whisper, mirrored clear
In the pool's lucent gloom.

Here Pan might pipe, or wandering dryad kneel
To view her loveliness beside the brim,
Or laughing wood-nymphs from the byways steal
To dance around its rim.

'Tis such a witching spot as might beseem
A seeker for young friendship's trysting place,
Or lover yielding to the immortal dream
Of one beloved face."

- Lucy Maud Montgomery, The Wood Pool

This is the alcohol-free spray. It is also free of parabens, phthalates, PDGs and other unpleasant things. Alkemia is a hand-blended and small batch perfumery using natural essences, ethically rendered accords, and lab-created aroma molecules.

Alkemia Dryad Reviews

Reddit - "this is HEAVENLY. Smells like spring flowers. Like walking into a flower shop with a vanilla candle burning."

Reddit - "Like a more simple, dryer version of mahogany oudh. To me, this smells mostly like sweet, dry wood. It also lasts way long, maybe 6-8 hours, which is good. I’ve worn it quite a few times since then, both by itself and layered with an incense smell. One of my favorites I think, nice and professional and unisex. "

Alkemia - "Dryad to me is a crisp and sweet smell that is at first like crushed sugarcane or the sap from a live branch just broken. Slightly earthy. Vanilla supports this throughout, and it becomes a little less crisp after a half hour or so, but it doesn't, as many perfumes do on me, lose all the other elements that the vanilla enhances, nor does it begin to cant off toward baked goods. I can smell something floral, but everything is harmonic and hard to pick apart. There is also good throw and longevity. It makes me feel alive when I put it on."
