Alkemia Falling Stars on Winter Solstice Oil has notes of aromatic balsam needles, dark musk, sweet myrrh, incense resins, melted snow, and a touch of cabin woodstove smoke.

One must have a mind of winter
To regard the frost and the boughs
Of the pine-trees crusted with snow;
And have been cold a long time
To behold the junipers shagged with ice,
The spruces rough in the distant glitter
Of the January sun; and not to think
Of any misery in the sound of the wind,
In the sound of a few leaves,
Which is the sound of the land
Full of the same wind
That is blowing in the same bare place
For the listener, who listens in the snow,
And, nothing himself, beholds
Nothing that is not there and the nothing that is.
-- Wallace Stevens

This is the parfum oil. It is also free of parabens, phthalates, PDGs and other unpleasant things. Alkemia is a hand-blended and small batch perfumery using natural essences, ethically rendered accords, and lab-created aroma molecules.

Alkemia Falling Stars on Winter Solstice Oil Reviews

Reddit - "This smells exactly like an Orthodox church. The scent is DEAD ON. Fun fact, Frankincense and Myrrh are used as incense in Orthodox church services. The most prominent notes are balsam needles, sweet myrrh, and incense resins (presumably Frankincense). I also pick up on a faint hint of smokiness. I find this scent to be incredibly warm and comforting."

Fragrantica - "Amazing musky and smoky fir, well-balanced, gorgeous and stable. Got it as a sample and definitely buying it. Evergreen Christmas. Touch of smokiness when on my skin, but it's a nice, mild incense (if you're any variation of Catholic, you'll recognise the incense - myrrh and frankincense)."

Indie Scent Library - "This is one of my absolute favourites. As a scent it feels very full. Rather than flat or layered it almost has the effect of a cloud of sweet woodsmoke. The balsam needles, snow, dark musk, sweet myrrh, incense resins come forward all at once with the smoke but somehow you can still detect individual notes. It is unlike any perfume oil I have tried."

Reddit - "smells like walking into a warm hut after walking around a giant snowy forest."
