Amouage Beach Hut Man is the third fragrance in the Midnight Flower Collection following Sunshine and Bracken, launched in 2017. Created by Elise Benat, it has notes of mint, galbanum, orange blossom, ivy, vetiver, moss, woods, myrrh and patchouli. It is a green, woody, aromatic fragrance, an EDP, eau de parfum.
“Beach Hut Man tells the story of an iridescent aromatic idyll that unfolds in the fragrant wild garden of a beach hut, where the sweeping sand dunes meet the sea,” says Christopher Chong. “It liberates the senses and unleashes emotion as it explores the intoxicating sublime of the shoreline during the mesmerizing moments of sunset.”
Fragrantica:"Just plain feels good and sometimes that is all you need, especially in this day and age. Love it!"
Fragrantica - "This fragrance does NOT fall in line with the typical trope of what we think of when we usually smell beach scents. Nope, this is so incredibly unique in its character, not to mention transportative. Beach Hut Man is wonderfully, masterfully constructed - it’s aromatic, slightly bitter, a tiny bit creamy, and I get a slight airiness to it, and a swampy aspect to it. It’s also a bit grassy (from the moss I suppose). I smell a bit of driftwood in the mid and drydown, and the mint, myrrh and woods are done to PERFECTION. I detect a slight solar note in the beginning (kind of like the solar note that is in my Alien Eau Sublime), and then it gets drier and woodier (but still slightly sweet and bitter!) as time progresses."
Fragrantica - "Imagine strolling through a botanical garden on a bright, warm Spring day. Along your walk, you begin casually picking the leaves off of thick ivy vines-- Rolling the leaves in your fingers as you soak in the surroundings. That aroma left on your hand, mixed with a the surrounding botanical breeze... That's Beach Hut Man."
