Imagine the stories of Versailles told through fragrance. This collection of candles recreates the scents from the Court of Versailles unfolding chapters of history. Noel invites you to celebrate a magical event with the Queen Marie Lezinska, Louis XV’s wife, who launched the tradition of the Christmas tree at the Château de Versailles in 1738. Thin, flexible candles were tied around the branches. Baroque interiors were filled with dazzling lights and the scent of pine permeated the luxurious rooms. Around the tree, crackling fires, roasted chestnuts and candied fruit warmed hearts and minds in the cold of winter.

Just a note about a few things when looking at "older" candles - those no longer in production. Frosting - this is a natural byproduct of a natural wax and in no way affects the burn ability or fragrance of a candle. It is caused by tiny crystal growth that forms on the top and sides of the wax. Sweating - this is caused by a combination of things and 100% soy candles are notorious for sweating. Soy wax can release excess oil during temperatures changes and this can be strictly from the wax itself. The import thing to note is that sweating will not affect the quality or performance of your candle.
All of my candles were kept in a cool, dry location in their original boxes/tins.
