Balenciaga Florabotanica was released in the fall of 2012, inspired by a woman who encompasses beauty and danger like certain flowers. Notes of mint, carnation, Turkish rose, caladium leaves, amber and vetiver. The bottle and packaging that Balenciaga designed for this is just cunning as can be, like some floral acid trip, the box sort of undulates. When you pull out the bottle, there's a black and white striped sprayer going down into the perfume with that cute little black and whtie cap.
So what's is smell like? There is a somewhat sharp open of mint and leaves that slowly rolls into the rose. Despite their choice of Kristen Stewart to pimp Florabotanica, this isn't a little girl scent. It's not all grown up either. It skews younger, but any age could wear it happily and for about anything from office to an evening out.
Perfumers Olivier Polge and Jean-Christophe Herault created the perfume.
