These are fun for the Holidays

5 stars for creativity ,historic research . very clever. Some of these scents have turned out surprisingly gorgeous and some start out odd but dry down nice. Sometimes they just fit the mood of the day. I like fragrance and sometimes these just fit. The rose scent is long lasting and true.

    Fun, but Nothing Great

I tried about 20 of these Christmas-themed fragrances, selected from almost every year. Had a lot of fun with a friend, checking them all out, but the only ones I liked well enough to wear like regular perfume were FROST AT MIDNIGHT (2011), a very sweet, tuberose floral with a fleeting green-ness; HYPOTHERMIA (2009), a nice pine-resin-y fragrance; and NOVEMBER (2007), also piney with a little earthiness. Overall, tho, these fragrances are top-heavy and cheap-smelling, more like perfume oils than true perfume. There are too many notes in most of them, which tends toward olfactory dissonance. Fortunately (I guess!), they don't last long! These would make a fun gift for a child who is interested in perfume - for an adult, not so much.
