Perfume Description

Perfume Name Byredo Rodeo
Year Introduced 2016
Perfumer Unknown
Gender Unisex
Strength Eau de parfum, edp
Notes Top note of leather, middle notes of violet and suede, and base notes of black amber and vetiver
Country of Origin Sweden

Rodeo was originally launched in the summer of 2016 but was only available at the Wooster Street store in New York City. According to Ben Gorham "it is a fragrance that captures the scent of the rodeo itself. It’s the art and poetry of the rodeo, the violence, the fascination with and, the extremity of it. It’s the crackling sound of an old saddle, the singular focus of the bull rider. That moment when everything is calm, just before the rodeo starts.

From Now Smell This:

Horse lovers, and anyone who finds the scent of fine, broken-in leather particularly intoxicating, will be drawn to this unisex fragrance, which is lighter than you'd expect—more country fair nostalgic than campfire smoky.

From xonjane:

Before you get visions of cowboys twirling lassos while riding horses in the wild west, picture that scenario in the style and direction of those Lincoln ads with Matthew McConaughey. Just picture Matthew McConaughey talking to bull in a luxury SUV idling on a road cutting through fields of wheat or wheat-colored grass. That's pretty much this fragrance. The scent itself is crisp and clean like the pages of a brand new leather-bound notebook, but it comes alive ever so subtly on your skin. My overall impression is staggeringly of its modernity in its starkness. Mostly, I would like to smell Matthew McConaughey in a luxury vehicle. Does he know about this scent? Because he should.

Another gorgeous winner from Byredo!

Founded in 2006 in Sweden Byredo perfume's creator Ben Gorham (former basketball player) wanted to create perfumes of quality while keeping their production in Sweden. Gorham had been fascinated with fragrance much of his life. When he meet Pierre Wulff, a perfumer, Byredo came into being. Currently Gorham works with Olivia Giacobetti and Jerome Epinette to create his line of perfumes.
