Description

Caron Bellodgia was introduced in 1927, created by Ernest Daltroff, its inspiration was an Italian town near Lake Como, Bellagio. Centered around carnation, it opens full on, dark and chewy, then dries to a warm, spicy scent with sweet tones. Caron Bellodgia has great sillage and is listed as feminine but can definitely work for men as well.

Caron Bellodgia Reviews

Fragrantica: "This is an assertive fragrance and the carnation and clove cut right through the foggy cocoon we often walk around in. True, the dry down is powdery and floral but it's a long trip to Drydown Town with this beauty. Perfect for cold bright Spring days but suitable for all but the hottest weather."

Fragrantica: "The carnation is clearly the dominant note and if you like carnation, this is a very beautifully created carnation. It's sexy and spicy, aromatic, but feminine not unisex."

    Bellodgia is bellisimo!

This replaced & knocked Chloé out of my Top 3. I never liked the smell of carnation, but the drydown into the vanilla is so beautifully blended that I'm now a stan & can't imagine a better carnation fragrance. The only caveat is the sillage & longevity. I wish StC had the parfum to try.
