If you are new to perfume or wanting to break out of wearing the same scent, try our starter sampler packs so that you can find the perfume that works for you.

Churches and cathedrals around the world have a scent that is a mixture of old hymnals, candle wax, wooden furniture and lingering incense. If a church is made of stone they can also give off mineral and earthy odors as well. This sampler offers you the ability to experience the scents of a church fire, the crumbling marble of a cloister in winter, the oldest church in Cincinnati, mad monk Grigori Rasputin and the resinous scents of Basilica.

You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler. They are all perfume oils so just a little bit goes a long way. You also have the option of choosing a 1ml sampler.

  1. Three Ravens Company Grue Church Fire Perfume Oil - The Grue Church fire happened in Grue, Norway, on May 26, 1822, and took the lives of nearly 120 churchgoers. On Pentecost with the church filled to capacity, a fire broke out in the middle of the sermon that was preached by vicar Iver Hesselberg, great-great Grandfather of novelist Roald Dahl. Within 10–15 minutes the church was completely engulfed and soon burnt to the ground. This is a moody, smoky scent inspired by this great disaster. Olibanum and pine tar blended with burnt wood and smoke truly capture the fragrance of an old holy structure, built with layers and layers of sticky pine tar, that has been destroyed by fire. It is similar to the scent of a forest fire.
  2. BPAL Klosterruine Im Winter Mit Blick Auf Heisterbach Perfume Oil - Crumbling marble under a blanket of snow, echoes of incense smoke, and crushed frankincense tears.
  3. Possets Perfume Midnight Mass at Old St. Marys Perfume Oil - The oldest church in Cincinnati is Old St. Mary's, built circa 1841. It is ornate, trimmed in every style you can think of, cold in the winter and filled with those who treasure the tradition of this wonderful ritual. The fragrances is a resinous incense blend, redolent with the polished wood of the pews, beeswax candles and offertory fruits. Unisex and perfect for cold weather.
  4. Arcana Wildcraft Mad Monk Perfume Oil - Some considered Grigori Rasputin to be a depraved charlatan, while others believed he was a mystic with magical powers, but no one could forget his haunting gaze. Golden amber resin, Siberian fir needle, Arcana’s Holy Terror (burning frankincense, sandalwood, deep myrrh, and dusty beeswax candles), coarse brown bread, and warm fur.
  5. Solstice Scents Basilica Perfume Oil - According to their website, Basilica is "the scent of grand and humbling mosaics, haunting pipe organ notes, polished pews, smoldering resins and reverence...Basilica is comprised of a rich labdanum absolute which smells of sweet, balsamic golden amber, vanilla, essential oils of frankincense, rosewood, myrrh, sandalwood and galbanum. Basilica is very resinous and dry with sweet elements, a definite morpher. The scent hugs intimately close to the skin on the dry down, but smells...divine."
