Description

Creed Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie was launched in 1989, commissioned by Emperor Napoleon III for his wife, Empress Eugenie. She wanted a fragrance of seductive, floral-oriental charm. At the request of the Empress, Creed relocated to Paris in order to serve her royal court daily, a permanent move resulting in the boutique Creed still occupies today.  Bergamot and rich vanilla and amber create a sensual fragrance full of warmth and strength.  This fragrance resides in the Floral Woody Musk fragrance group.

Reviews of Creed Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie from noses that may or may not sniff like your nose.

Review from fragrancex.com - "The perfume has a wonderful history and a very unique fragrance that men find extremely memorable. I have been complimented every time..."

Review from fragrantica.com - "This fragrance taught me to appreciate people with whom you spend your life with but don't notice them until they are gone.  As soon as I finish a bottle I buy another one because I feel lonely without its smell . . ."

    Just not for me!

I SO wanted to love, or even like, it, because of Creed's history, but it is just not for me. Did not get any of the brightness from the bergamot. It simply smelled old and muddy. The visual that brought to mind was a unkept dressing table of a woman of a certain age, cluttered with dirty powder puffs, half-empty glasses of stale wine stained with lipstick, and dust.

It did not work on my skin or on clothing. I had to shampoo my hair, take a shower, and do a load of laundry after three little sprays.

For those who like this, the upside is the sillage is strong, it has staying power, and there hardly any indole detected in the jasmine.
