Dior Holy Peony is a floral introduced in 2019. A portrait of the peony, constructed from other notes to tease out the fragrance of the beautiful and fleeting peony.
It was created by perfumer Francois Demachy with notes of rose, (interpreted) peony, lily of the valley, strawberry, raspberry, woods and musks. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
Francois Demachy, Parfumeur-Creatuer Dior - “Composing Holy Peony was like painting a portrait of a visibly charming woman. This peony was created in a floral and fruity trompe l'oeil style, with the inviting sparkle of red fruit. It is avid for light and its apricot Rose conveys its round feminine curves. It is a fragrance draped in the lightest woods and musks, which give it an amber charm. It is as fresh as the flower's green leaves and as dazzling as its red petals. Holy Peony is a luminous scent, like a rose without thorns, soft, yet confident."
Dior’s luxury fragrance line La Collection Privée has been reimagined in 2018, offering a new way for you to be dressed in Dior. Rebranded as Maison Christian Dior, it goes beyond a collection of fragrances to become a somewhat ritualistic concept; that of perfuming and embellishing spaces and moments in your life. “When I create perfumes I flout technical constraints, schedules, fashions and trends,” Demachy explains of his artistic process. The fragrances in this collection are formed in families of Orientals, Florals, Sensuals, Light Florals and Fruity Florals, non-specific to gender but without being labelled ‘unisex’.
Fragrantica - "This fragrance is a floral bomb but in the best way possible. The peony and rose are so dewy and romantic. Sometimes you just need something to wear that’s beautiful and uncomplicated and this is it."
Fragrantica - "If I were a woman Holy Peony would be my signature scent. This one is so beautifully feminine, it’s a joy to take in. Elegant, poised, glamorous and sexy too, smelling it is like falling into a fairy tale romance."
