Description

Dior Feve Delicieuse is part of the Orientals Collection. These evocative and intense fragrances evoke scenes from an Oriental dream. Smoky trails, leathery notes and sparkling oud reveal a world of deep emotions to experience. Fragrances in this collection include Feve Delicieuse, Purple Oud, Oud Ispahan, Ambre Nuit and Leather Oud.

If you have love for gourmand or orientals, this is a must try.  Notes of bergamot, tonka, Madagascar vanilla caramel, cocoa, praline and woods.  Feve Delicieuse is an eau de parfum, edp.

Dior’s luxury fragrance line La Collection Privée has been reimagined for 2018, offering a new way for you to be dressed in Dior. Rebranded as Maison Christian Dior, it goes beyond a collection of fragrances to become a somewhat ritualistic concept; that of perfuming and embellishing spaces and moments in your life. “When I create perfumes I flout technical constraints, schedules, fashions and trends,” Demachy explains of his artistic process. The fragrances in this collection are formed in families of Orientals, Florals, Sensuals, Light Florals and Fruity Florals, non-specific to gender but without being labelled ‘unisex’.

Review of Dior Fève Délicieuse - Maison Christian Dior (Orientals Collection)

From Basenotes - "A little Tobacco Vanille, a little Ambre Narguile, and just a touch of Dior Homme. At the same time, Feve Delicieuse is clearly its own scent and perhaps more refined and impressive than the others."

From Kafkaesque - "It may sound like the perfume version of a sundae or milk shake, but I think Feve Delicieuse is better balanced than that. Although the caramel grows in strength, nothing about the scent feels sticky, cloyingly gooey, or syrupy — and I have an exceedingly low threshold for sweetness. It’s not merely the quiet smokiness that helps to keep things in check; it’s the anisic greenness that continues to infuse the vanilla, thereby separating Feve Delicieuse from something like Guerlain‘s Spiritueuse Double Vanille. While the smoke and greenness are the greatest factors, other things help, too. There is also the growing presence of the dry hay, the toasted nuttiness, and the occasional glimmers of bitter, fresh almonds which is another facet of the coumarin, though not quite as common. Together, they counter-balance the sweet notes and give Feve Delicieuse a certain semi-dryness by the end of the first hour."

From Perfume Posse - "The list of notes are scary for those gourmand and sweet phobic, but this isn’t sweet at all. It’s filtered gourmand, they hay’ish notes (or whatever they did to create that) is a prism that diffuses all that sweet into something more like the idea of sweet, and it is smokier without being dark or heavy.  It is vanilla/woods/hay/gourmand that floats like the idea of a cream puff in the loft of a barn.   At the same time, this isn’t a lightweight, there is interest and change, it is not linear for me, it keeps shifting a little, with more to discover in its tonka-smoked depths.  It is vanilla/tonka/hay perfection."

From Persolaise - "This is no hurried gulp of a chocolate bar grabbed at the corner shop. It’s a long-planned pilgrimage to your favourite patisserie, where the light from the crystal chandeliers blankets the tablecloths, the cutlery and the china with a glow of sensuous warmth. An experience to be savoured."

    Iconic Fragrance!

The initial smell is dope, but the drydown is phenomenal!!! This is the best blind-buy fragrance I've bought since Creed Aventus.

    I wanted to drink this!

This is a dry, smoky vanilla with a splash of liqueur. At the beginning there is a note that reminds me of anise, which I find to be refreshing. Soft sillage, lasted about five hours on me. It is not cloying and the vanilla is not particularly sweet. I would say that if you are trying to get away from gourmands, perhaps you might like to give this a try. I like it, however I felt it was a bit too masculine on me. I would LOVE to smell this one on men! It's unisex, so come on, gents, give this one a try!
