For Strange Women
For Strange Women Fireside Story is inspired by the stories told around a hot, cozy fire, with notes of smoke, woods, leaves, pine cones, resins, incense, and vanilla. This is a perfume oil.
For Strange Women is an indie perfume company located in Kansas City, Missouri. Their perfumes are made exclusively from plant aromatics. From the brand - "Although mainstream culture presents perfume as a cosmetic to conceal other scents or to make us more attractive, we seek instead to create a sensory ritual that provides a connection to nature through its ability to communicate with our senses. We find natural perfume to be genderless and feel that the scent signature of our skin should be complemented, not hidden. Most of all, For Strange Women perfume is intended be worn as a personal indulgence and source of inspiration."
Reddit - "As it dries, the leaves and pine cones really come out to play in this cozy bonfire. After about an hour, the vanilla becomes more prominent and sweetens the whole scent, staying there as the other notes gradually fade...by far my favorite campfire scent. This is all I've been looking for and more in an autumn / winter daytime scent, though I can definitely see myself wearing this on summer evenings too. Stunning, cozy fire.
Cafleurbon - "a mountain home my family had at one point, where we used to spend our Christmases. The walls were wood paneled and the fireplace sported the obligatory deer head, named Charlie. We would gather in front of the fire and play Scrabble ™ or just chat and have snacks. We used to burn the occasional pine cone, and that aroma is present in this fragrance. Walking in the snow, we would be able to smell the home fire in the crisp air. This perfume is that waft of welcoming smoke, along with woody resins and a touch of sweetness. Fireside Story is one of the prettiest perfumes I have smelled in the genre of “things that are burning”."
