Gucci The Last Day of Summer was launched in 2019 as part of The Alchemist's Garden Collection. A collection that is inspired by alchemy, using natural plants augmented with modern molecules. Each is intended to tell a story of a place, a moment, a season, a memory.
Working with Alessandro Michele, created by Alberto Morillas, it is a woody spicy fragrance with notes of cedar, cypress, nutmeg, patchouli and vetiver. It is that last day of summer where the lingering and dissipating heat of summer meets the breeze of early autumn - cedar, forest, leaves, nutmeg and woody and earthy notes like patchouli and vetiver. From the perfume's notes "In this temple of silence, a pheasant with magnificent feathers is imagined flying across the trees and disappearing above the canopy. "
Gucci The Last Day of Summer (The Alchemist's Garden) Reviews
From Fragrantica - "this is a beautiful beautiful scent, and I completely forgot that I have 30++ perfumes since I got this. This is dry, soft, calming nutty woody with very good sillage and amazing projection."
From Fragrantica - "As it warms up on your skin, its spiciness suggests sunlight, or a forest drying in the late afternoon sun. Dense, but at the same time airy and fleeting. In tandem, vetiver provides a freshly upturned earth feeling (more dry peat than wet soil)."
