Guerlain Mon Precieux Nectar - EDP
Disappointed. Expected a lot. Instead, it smelled a bit cheap to me. Tried it about 3 times to make sure and was convinced, absolutely cheap and not for me.
Guerlain Mon Precieux Nectar was a very limited edition in the pure parfum when it was introduced. It was in this huge, beautiful fountain ( I have this, it is gorgeous!) and only a few were made. And we looooooved it, and then it was gone. Now Guerlain has brought it back as an EDP, eau de parfum. This is a really opulent, plush, creamy. gourmandish perfume created by Randa Hammami and Sylvaine Delacourt. For those that have trouble with the classic L'Heure Bleue, but you really like the idea of L'heure Bleue, Mon Precieux Nectar could work for you. It's not groundbreaking or out there and weird and twisty. It is just a really beautiful perfume that is so great to wear. This is discontinued.
Notes of petit grain, bitter almond powder heart, orange blossom, jasmine, sandalwood, gaiac wood, vanilla, white musk and incense.
From My Escentual Diary - "Mon Precieux Nectar is all honeyed white flowers and dragées amandes on me. Make that the most luxurious and lush bouquet of white flowers and candied almonds that money can buy. Whilst staying within the realm of tasteful."

Unfortunately, the almond notes in Mon Precieux Nectar rendered it a cloying odor reminiscent of Play Doh. I wish I could appreciate this like others do.

This is a little cloud of orange marzipan, angelic and light. A innocent, youthful scent for the young as heart!
On my skin, this fragrance opened on a wonderful honeyed note, promising an excellent olfactory experience. After about 5 minutes, however, the orange blossom overwhelmed any other notes, and that was all that ever developed. No depth, no incense, just very heady orange...
