HEXENNACHT DESERT RAIN REVIEWS

Reddit: I had never tried an atmospheric scent before but I’d always loved the smell of rain in the air. I now live in Los Angeles (where it rains a few times a year) and I found myself yearning for that smell. I fell in love. The cactus flower adds a sweetness to a clean rain. As it dries, this is clear to me I’ve found “my skin, but better” scent everyone talks about. So clean and wonderful, it smells like a desert in the hot sun after it’s been pouring for hours. So happy with this, I can’t imagine not having it around.

Reddit: In the bottle: So this is where my newbie nose reveals itself. I'm not entirely sure what I'm smelling, but I'm getting a sort of grounded sharpness with some spice. It's a darker, well blended fresh/clean scent. Reminds me of hiking and being surrounded by wild plants. On skin: Smells similar to how it does in the bottle, but lighter. It's more airy on my skin with the slightest hint of sweetness. Verdict: I wouldn't have picked this for myself because I tend to avoid non-gourmands, but I like this. I don't think it's a very wearable scent for me, but I wouldn't mind smelling it on someone else. Slightly tempted to put some on a sweater so I can get the occasional whiff or hug it when I sleep.

Indie Scent Library: This perfume oil is familiar to me…it reminds me of something I’ve smelled before although I can’t figure out what exactly it reminds me of. On my skin this starts out with something sour in the blend that I’m not a fan of. This mystery note disappears after the first ten to fifteen minutes of wear. This is a very interesting scent, it’s somewhat floral (but not your usual floral smell) yet somewhat clean and slightly aquatic. It seems to go back and forth as it develops on my skin. All of a sudden, it’s predominantly floral but, it’s a scent that I’m unfamiliar with. I dig it, it’s not the usual generic white floral smell that overpowers. It must be the cactus flower. This isn’t aggressive floral note, maybe it’s tempered by the other notes? This would be nice to wear in the warmer months. I enjoyed this but it’s not the type of scent that I usually gravitate towards. I’m unsure how much use I would get out of a FS bottle. I put this on a few hours after a shower last night around 9pm and it’s now the following morning around 6am and this perfume oil is still going strong although now it’s much more clean than floral. I liked every stage except the beginning when that strange sour note appears. Thankfully it doesn’t stick around for very long. Maybe it’s a body chemistry thing?
