Jovoy 21 Conduit St was created by Oli Marlow and Marie Schnirer and released in 2020. Inspired by the classics of English perfumery. "The result of a creative tandem, 21 Conduit St gives the scent of lavender a singular brightness. The accord comes from a formula by Oli Marlow, whose fascination with this aromatic note goes back to his childhood. He dreamt of giving it greater contrast, making it more multi- facetted upping the tangy, fruity freshness and warming it through with resinous notes."
Notes of Grapefruit, Lavender, Bergamot, Rhubarb, Fir Balsam, Amaretto accord, Tonka Bean, Ambroxan, Modern Woods.
Jovoy is a French brand originally launched in 1923 that failed during the depression and the Second World War. Francois Henin re-created the house in 2006, as well as opening a large independent perfume store in Paris.
This is for a 1/2 ml sample of the fragrance.
Fragrantica - "The drydown give you that fruity freshness, I felt a note of green tea, with a touch of spices, ambroxan present, a hint of light sweet, pleasant woody and very present lavender.
I like how the Rhubarb, balsan pin and ambroxan work as maestro. Amazing!"
Fragrantica - "Simple fresh lavender very Smokey at first and slightly dusty turns into a smooth purple heaven. The drydown is a gorgeous fresh but dark smooth lavender bodied out by the creamy slightly vanillic woods (the amaretto and tonka) on the base. On top you have a touch of tartness with a touch of spice on top of the Rhubarb seemlessly and beautifully blending with the lavender helping to body it out further."
