La Folie A Plusieurs (The Madness of Many) is a Berlin and Paris based perfume company that believes in creating fragrances with high cultural and artistic value. Each scent comes from a collaboration of two artists – one is the perfumer and the other is from contemporary art, film, photography, dance, literature, design, music or fashion.
Love Exposure is from the Le Cinema Olfactif line and is a collaboration between the Soho House and La Folie a Plusieurs. A perfumer is invited to create a scent inspired by his or her personal response to a moment in a film and then the scent is incorporated into the viewer experience during select film screenings for the Soho House Cinema Program. Created by Mark Buxton in 2014, this scent was inspired by Sion Sono's film “Love Exposure” which is a mixture of love, lust, violence, sex and religion. It features notes of ylang, magnolia flowers, neroli oil, cassis, bay oil, cumin oil, costus, jasmine sambac, incense, musk, sandalwood, ambergris and vanilla. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
