Stem is an (un)floral scent that captures Malin + Goetz's idea of a deconstructed garden. It brings to life the secondary scents or quieter facets of floristry that are often overlooked: the crispness of freshly cut stems, the aroma of crushed leaves and of rich soil. These scents are as beautiful and evocative as the flower itself, yet they are often edited out of fragrances. Stem is what lingers on our clippers, hands and clothes while the flowers brighten the kitchen or a bedroom. These are the stalks of green hyacinth and dewy muguet, a fresh blend of mandarin leaves, florets of hyacinth and greens from wild freesia. All are softened by a trio of modern musk molecules to give the composition radiance, texture and sensuality.
Stem features top notes of mandarin leaves, wild freesia greens and hyacinth florets; middle notes of muguet flower stalks, rose centifolia stems and jasmine buds; and base notes of white cedar, vetiver, Ambrox super and musk molecules. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
Malin + Goetz Stem Reviews
Fragrantica: Smells very feminine when you first spray, but it dries on very gender neutral. This will match well with anyone’s natural pheromones. I am a woman and I love how gentle this is on the nose, it’s very pleasant. I also think it would smell great on a man. The musk base is lovely! Definitely a unisex scent!
Fragrantica:If heaven had a smell this is what it'd be. This is nothing short of a masterpiece. Smells like happy sunshiney days in a enchanted flower garden deep in the forest of Narnia.
Fragrantica:This is such an interesting and a unique idea for a summer fragrance. It's definitely floral forward and is truly unisex. I think some men may find it too floral perhaps. However the dry down is more musky and it leaves a scent similar to a Thai garden after a heavy rain. It reminds me a bit of Le Labo Lys. Overall it truly is the scent of a flower shop.
