Description

One of the greatest cult classics of all time.  A unique blend of sweet and resinous incense, soft vanilla, woods, fresh grasses, white florals and whiffs of transparent cherry and almond.  Luctor et Emergo is the parfum version.

I don't fall in love easily...

but I love, LOVE, *LOVE* Luctor et Emergo. (And w/a $190 price tag for a full bottle, one needs to capital L-O-V-E it.) It's gourmand, but not foodie. The first sniff is a boozy cherry almond accord which reminds me of opening my grandfather's pouch of cherry pipe tobacco. This could sound over-sweet, but it's not -- it's tempered by a synthetic note (in a good way) and a bit of flour (straight flour, not baked bread). This dries down into a soft but fresh vanilla (nothing at all cloying or sweet here) with a hint of resin. This is a comfort scent, perhaps better in fall/winter but wearable year round. Stays close to the skin on me and has about 4 hour longevity. Did I mention how much I LOVE this?
