Fragrantica: This is just beautiful..hands down. From the feel of the box and design of it, to the pink and gold bottle with bow as an extra added touch, to the fragrance itself. I’m actually in awe at how pretty it is and that’s the word that sums this one up for me. It was a blind buy but I figured I’d be displaying that bottle either way and in first spray my eyes may have rolled back a little. It’s powdery, citrusy, musky, a touch bitter and sweet all rolled into one. I know it’s compared to LDBS but to me this is seriously it’s own fragrance. Longevity was amazing with 10+ hours and had moderate sillage. I expected this one to be super soft but most definitely is not. It’s a love for me
Fragrantica: OMG, wow this is so beautiful and for the price it’s better than Kilians LDBS! I saw this mentioned on a YouTube video and I just had to try it! Boy am I glad I did. This my HG from now on. Such a creamy vanilla with a hint of floral. This is what Prada Candy should be. Wow I’m so happy this is in my collection. This is more of a feminine scent than unisex. Hands down this is better than some niche brands. Vanillic fruity gourmand scent. Highly recommended. A definite must try and at such a good price!
Fragrantica: Don't let the short fresh start mislead you, this is a warm, complex, powdery, gourmand perfume. A bit thicker than I expected but very French and perfumy. Haute cuisine pâtisserie.
Fragrantica: Lovely petitgrain/almond combination. Childhood in a bottle. When I'm wearing it I picture myself playing with my toys when I was a little girl.
Fragrantica: This perfume depicts carnival vibes. Get your fun on! Cotton-candy, lime-mint sorbet, vanilla ice-cream, marzipan, lemon meringues and almond dragées on a cool sunny day out. It is light and it is delish with a shock of distinctiveness and a breezy manner. Bustling with energy, the notes reveal themselves with a cheerful provenance. If this perfume had a colour, it would be Rainbow. If it had a nickname, it would be Fun at the Fair. A wise woman once said, life is too short, smell happy!
Fragrantica: This took me a while to make a decision on my feelings about it, but the more I wear it, the deeper I like and appreciate it. I can definitely understand the correlation between this and LDBS, if you have smelled that and don't like it, you most likely will not be a fan of Guimauve. For whatever reason, my nose detects the marshmallow in here as a mix of those multi-colored candy necklaces, jordan almonds and the powdered sugar on those firmer pink style marshmallows. It invites the picture of pastels and light spring colors to mind and reminds me of ballerinas. It's very feminine but not sickly sweet. I think if you like sweet, you can layer with something like Kayali Vanilla 28 and you'd be good to go. I am pretty fascinated with this, but it's NOT a crowd pleaser to my nose. More for me.
Fragrantica: This is the scent of my soul. I have literally never fallen so quickly in love with a fragrance before in my life. This opens with lively herbs, full and fluffy vanilla, and a sugared musk, what a delight! However, this scent is not just one big puffball of childlike sweetness, nor does it smell like the cheap marshmallows Easter-peeps are made of. No, this is a gourmet marshmallow, fresh and puffy. Guimauve has an aerated feel to it, a wonderful lightness, but it also has a type of dense chewiness to it, the same type of texture that makes marshmallows so fanciful. I would buy a million bottles of this lovely lady if I could.
