This listing is for a 108ml (3.6 fl. oz.) vintage bottle of Christian Dior Diorella EDT. This is in absolutely amazing condition. The box is just like new and is marked with Ref. 6804 Made in France. The bottle and label are in perfect condition. The bottle is nearly full; I'm assuming there was some evaporation because this doesn't look like it was ever used.
Dior Diorella was created by legend Emond Roudnitska. This is a fragrance that has very strong opinions about it. It is a combination of light and dark, fresh and funky. It has that same flower over dead body rot found in Etat Libre d'Orange's Charogne (and that is a really good thing)!
Chandler Burr says that: "Diorella is a profoundly strange perfume. What is wonderful about Diorella is that it smells like a new fur coat that has been rubbed with a very creamy mint toothpaste. Not gel. Paste. It is a great, great fragrance. It was created for Dior by the legendary perfumer Edmond Roudnitska in 1972, and it feels like 1932 and 2022 at the same time. And that means that Diorella is -- there's just no other way to describe it -- strange. And that's good."
Tania Sanchez and Luca Turin, authors of Perfumes: The A-Z Guide, both get unusual notes from Diorella. Ms. Sanchez says Vietnamese beef salad and Mr. Turin says fruit on the verge of going bad.
Whatever people feel about this fragrance, it is simply gorgeous and Roudnitska's favorite scent that he created.
