Tigress was one of the most popular scents by Faberge. It was released in 1938 but it was definitely a 1970s fragrance when Faberge also had Brut and Babe. Tigress is an oriental fougere that features top notes of aldehydes, bergamot and citrus notes; middle notes of cinnamon, clove, geranium, lavender, Bulgarian rose, carnation, ylang ylang and jasmine absolute; and base notes of cedarwood, benzoin, incense, rosewood, civet, sandalwood, ambergris, vanilla, patchouli, musk, oak moss and vetiver.

This is a gorgeously sexy amber fragrance. You can smell just a bit of the carnation and rose and then cinnamon, vanilla, civet and oakmoss. Really very lovely!

  • 1930s or 1940s - “the perfect perfume for furs.
  • 1960s - “Wild! Is the word for the uninhibited jungle beat of Tigress Parfum Extraordinaire…made in France by Fabergé.
  • 1960x or 70s - “Are you wild enough to wear it? Be you uninhibited self. Live the unconventional life. Run free with Tigress. Perfume and Cologne as wild as the savage jungle." Starring Lola Falana who was apparently dubbed “The Black Tigress”

In 1979, Faberge released a flanker of Tigress called Tigress Musk. It had some of the same notes as the original Tigress but it was heavy on the musk.

By 1985 Tigress seems to have been discontinued.

This is the original cologne version of the fragrance.

the one I remember as a teenager- yes it's great!

I wore the 60's version of Tigress as a teen and man this is some kinda "come on" perfume. I'm surprised my Mom let me out of the house wearing this. I probably hid it in my locker at school!
This kitty has some claws and is not quite as sweet as the 50's version- just lovely. Warm and beautiful oriental. It was a cheap price way back when but a quality product. Very nice!!
Try it if you haven't tried it before.
