From the brand - "...we aged our organic, sugar cane alcohol in a vintage cognac barrel, giving the scent a captivating edge that beckons for decadence. Finally, indulgent hints of Vanilla and Vetiver add a last touch of grounded warmth that perfectly rounds up the carnal woodiness of this voluptuous masterpiece."
Fragrantica - "This one is absolutely intoxicating, you get the wood, you get the plum, you get the cognac — this smells so amazingly intoxicating it is rum...there's plum, peru balsam, cinnamon, vanilla, labdanum, immortal vetiver and osmanthus. What I get is definitely that wood, you get the plum you get the booziness. There's a bit of spice in this one it's absolutely gorgeous it smells so opulent and luxurious and decadent and definitely like old money."
Fragrantica - "This is a great fragrance and definitely a work of art. You can really smell the casks the perfumers alcohol was aged in, particularly in the opening. From there it fades and becomes a fruity, spicy, vanilla fragrance. I have Plum Japonais and herod, and while this doesn't smell like either… i get a similar vibe from this."
Fragrantica - "I Love plum fragrances and this is absolutely gorgeous! A perfect combination of wood, spicy, fruity, smoky, boozy and sweet. If you like Rouge Saray, but you want something different with less resins and patchouli, and with slightly more woodiness in the best way, it’s worth a sample. This is incredibly smooth and well-blended. I was afraid to try it because some reviews made this sound masculine leaning. I disagree. This is more feminine leaning and unisex. FB worthy immediately!"
Fragrantica - "Japanese plum wine and rich chocolate? Reminds me of TF Tobacco Vanille but more tart and plum. This gets smoky in the dry down. Very sexy scent."
Definitely a cold weather scent.
