Sylvaine Delacourte was the former Director of Olfactory Evaluation at Guerlain. She was the only female director in 180 years. After several years as Fragrance Director at Maison Guerlain, she decided she wanted to create her own fragrances. Her first collection was Musk, then Vanilla and most recently Fleur d'Oranger.
Orange blossom comes from the bitter orange tree. The flower produces neroli, orange blossom water and orange blossom absolute. Its branches and leaves provide petitgrain. The zest of the fruit produces bitter orange essence. It evokes sweet memories from childhood for Sylvaine from her travels, whether to Seville in Spain, or Marrakesh in Morocco. When she decided to create an Orange Blossom Collection, the purpose was to update and imbue this raw material, by adding some unexpectedness, that reveal each fragrance as unique and elegant. Far from the standard classification (perfume for men or perfume for women), she wanted to create perfumes that first give you an emotion and always surprise and seduce you, with its own scents and olfactory facets.
Osiris is a delicious orange blossom fragrance that is mysterious and bewitching. Exquisite and enveloping, its smooth, golden petals are reflected in a heady honeyed note heightened by the surprising splash of sesame. Osiris features top notes of clementine, sesame and pink pepper; middle notes of orange blossom, honey and clary sage; and base notes of benzoin, sandalwood, cedar and guaiacwood. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
