The Decay of the Angel was inspired by Yukio Mishima’s novel and created in collaboration with Polish artist Gosia Sobczak who created illustrations depicting the five stages of the decay of an angel - Decay, Diaphoresis, Dirt, Dissatisfaction and Darkness. These five stages are reflected in the fragrance which turns a traditional floral scent into an intense hedonistic experience. The result is a powerful scent composed of the sweetness of flowers on the edge of waning coupled with the note of charred wood and musk and hedione adding a dark and dirty edge of desire.
Timothy Han is quoted: ”This is a take on a rose floral that will divide opinion. By introducing dark undertones of sex and ash to what is often seen as a traditional and safe scent, we have created a perfume for the outspoken."
The Decay of the Angel features top notes of mandarin, neroli, rose, ylang-ylang and frankincense; middle notes of Sambac jasmine, acacia and cade; and base notes of oudh, cedarwood, patchouli, tonka and labdanum and is set in a base of 100% certified organic grape alcohol. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
