Tom Ford Lys Fume (spiced, smoky, animalic lily. It's Tom Ford, just go with it) features notes of mandarin, pink peppercorn, nutmeg, turmeric, white lily and vanilla.
Tom Ford's Jardin Noir (Night Garden) series for his Private Blend Collection was released in the fall 2012. He told the New York Times, when asked about this new series, "'When you showcase their [the flower's] darker and less innocent aspects, flowers can become so thrilling and beautiful, they could almost ruin you. That was the sensation I was after."
Tom Ford Private Blend has released a prodigious number of fragrances, ranging from the amazing to the weird to the slightly kinky. Not all of them are masterpieces, but they usually are as interesting as Tom Ford himself.
Reviews of Tom Ford Lys Fume
From Bois de Jasmin - "Then comes the best part of the fragrance, a heart created out of luscious ylang-ylang, jasmine and rose. The combination of crunchy green notes and the white florals with their heady apricot jam sweetness is striking, and everything sings in such perfect harmony that for a moment I forget that I find Tom Ford’s aspirational prices irritating."
