Description

Tom Ford Sahara Noir is inspired by the mystery and luxury of the Middle East. It evokes the untamed beauty of the land and one of its most treasured ingredients - frankincense, a precious desert resin.

Tom Ford Sahara Noir notes are bergamot, mandarin orange, violet, ginger, basil, grapefruit blossom, orange blossom, tobacco, black pepper, amber, cedar, patchouli, oakmoss, leather, Jordanian calamus grass, cistus [labdanum] essence Orpur®, cinnamon, papyrus extract, Egyptian jasmine templar, Moroccan rose absolute, beeswax extract, labdanum, ambreinol, benzoin, vanilla, frankincense resin, agarwood [oud], and balsam. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

Reviews of Tom Ford Sahara Noir

From Bois de Jasmin - "The interesting part of Sahara Noir is not the incense, but how it’s used to create a layered effect. Frankincense is available in several different grades and varieties, and the combination of cool, crisp essence with heavier, smokier oil gives an opulent effect. It also helps that the quality of incense and everything else in this perfume is excellent.

From Kafkaesque - "You see, Sahara Noir is a much less extreme, more balanced version of Amber Absolute. There is still the labdanum-frankincense accord, but the smoke doesn’t feel acrid and like an 800-pound gorilla. To my nose, Sahara Noir is also slightly more nuanced, along with having a lighter feel and texture, but it’s definitely all relative.

    Unburnt incense!

Oh, I like this one. It's like the pressed wood incense bricks you find at the Albuquerque airport gift shop, all Sandalwood and pinon pine chips. Has a slight screamy wood alcohol edge in the middle but that goes away and it ends as it started, pinon/sandal wood chip incense, before being burned. Nice!
