Vilhelm Parfumerie Basilico & Fellini was launched in 2017 inspired by Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini's legendary liking for basil. It is said that Fellini requested extra servings of basil for its apparent aphrodisiac effect – and this fragrance recalls the minty, peppery kick as the ultra-fresh basil warms on his risotto bianco.

Basilico & Fellini has notes of basil, pitihaya, fig, violet, green grass, hay and vetiver. This is the EDP, eau de parfum.
Fragrantica - "I really like how fresh and sweetly green this is. It smells very bright and vivid, but it's not one of those green scents that hits you over the head with how sharply realistic and over-the-top the green notes are. This one is a great balance of smelling natural but in a happy and cozy way, like morning dew or having a picnic in a field. Reminds me of Jo Malone Green Wheat & Meadowsweet, and there's a hint of Philosykos-style creamy greenness (and of course the fig). An excellent fragrance for fans of fresh and sweet green scents."

Fragrantica - "I've tried a ton of fig scents over the years, and I've never smelled anything like this one. At the same time, it smells kind of obvious, in a good way: I would never have thought to put basil and figs together, but it's a match made in heaven. It's a super light and airy composition, but not at all unsubstantial; obviously very high quality. Except for fig and basil, I mainly get fresh hay - which adds to the overal greenness of the fragrance, while softening the vegetal, borderline "culinary" aspect of the basil note and complementing the sweetness of the fig."
