Vilhelm Parfumerie Morning Chess was created in 2015 by Jerome Epinette. It is a unisex leather with notes of bergamot, leather, galbanum, patchouli and black amber.
From the brand - "Inspired by the memory of the summer holidays we shared with my grandfather, Morning Chess mimics the ripe, green lushness of summer on coastal Falkenberg. There, in a summer cottage, my grandfather, with his two sons, would pass hours battling wits over a chessboard. Sweden would save all its light for those summer moments, endless, bright mornings. The grassy greenness is light enough to hint at the evergreen sharpness of the distant winter air."

Fragrantica - "Depending on how and where you wear it, this scent that will either remind you of a very elegant retirement home (you know, three-course meal and golf paddy) or a sleek business woman in an A-line skirt, her Burberry coat impeccable, rushing to the next destination in a metropolitan commuter's kind of morning."
Fragrantica - "To me this is a fresh, ethereal, almost faerie-like green citrus floating atop of a black leather work bag. An interesting combo. Eventually, after a long dance between the citrus and leather, the leather takes over and it fully smells like memories of my father arriving home from work trips. Quite bizarre but evocative!"
Fragrantica - 'The bergamot and green apple on top is juicy and natural. There's a faint green herb supporting the top, too. It's very uplifting, refreshing, and clean....but in a very sophisticated way. After an hour or so the leather/wood/patchouli start to creep in. It leans suede leather/smoky for the remaining 10+ hours but I'm still getting whiffs of the bergamot and green apple....and it's fantastic!!!!"
