VINTAGE - Coty Lilas Pourpre (Purple Lilac) Perfume
Year Introduced: 1911 or 1914 - Feminine
Notes: Blended floral
Lilas Pourpre was launched in 1911 or 1914 depending on which website you take your information from. Lilas Pourpre translates to Purple Lilac and according to the box, the perfume combines the flowers and leaves of the lilac plant in its bouquet.
Coty fragrances were popular among the Russian Imperial family and Lilas Pourpre was the favorite scent of Maria, one of the daughters of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra Romanov.
There is not a lot of information available on the older Coty fragrances; they are quite rare. The smell of this fragrance is gorgeous but I do not get a strong lilac scent; it is more of a blended floral; but beautiful!
Lilas Pourpre has been discontinued.
We are decanting from an original perfume version of this fragrance.
