Description

This is the vintage eau de parfum version of Lanvin My Sin. It is a classic sensuous fragrance created by André Fraysse. My Sin by the Parisian house of Jeanne Lanvin in 1925 and has top notes of aldehydes, bergamot, lemon, clary sage and neroli; middle notes of ylang-ylang, jasmine, rose, clove, orris, lily of the valley, jonquil and lilac; and base notes of vanilla, vetiver, musk, woods, tolu, styrax and civet.

Interesting to note, is that My Sin is part of the Smithsonian's collection of cosmetics and personal care products displayed at the National Museum of American History.

Quality scent but too much animalic for me

This scent is "louder" than I recall. The animalic notes make it a bit hard to take. This is an angel and a demon dancing on the same pinhead. It worked in the 50's. I don't know anyone who could pull this off now. I'm glad I got the decant so I could remember the scent. It is well done and is unusual- nothing like it after this in my opinion. Great piece of perfume history but I can't wear it.
