This is vintage Lanvin Scandal eau de parfum. It is a floral leather Chypre fragrance featuring top notes of neroli, bergamot, mandarin, musk and sage; middle notes of leather, iris, rose and ylang-ylang; and base notes of incense, oakmoss, vanilla, vetiver and benzoin.
It’s oftentimes I enjoy the way an edp lets the individual notes breathe and how the scent is allowed to exhale. Not this time, however. I could do without the citrusy top notes distracting me from the incense and leathery base. I’m not typically bothered by this top note trope, but here, the ratio is off. After having sampled the extrait a while ago, I see I’ve found myself another exception.
