Tom Ford Noir Extreme

Tom Ford Noir Extreme was released in 2015, a flanker to the original Tom Ford Noir.(2012) It joins his Signature perfumes - Grey Vetiver, Tom Ford for Men, Black Orchid, Black Orchid Voile de Fleur, Violet Blonde (discontinued), White Patchouli. Sania Constant is the perfumer behind Tom Ford Noir Extreme.

Tom Ford Noir Extreme is a deep woody oriental.  Notes of mandarin oil, neroli, cardamom, nutmeg, rose absolute, jasmine, orange flower, vanilla, kulfi, amber and sandalwood.

If you weren't that crazy about Tom Ford Noir, you should still try Tom Ford Noir Extreme. It is completely different and about 1000 times better than the original. Richly spiced, layered deeply with florals and definitely unisex. Kulfi is one of the notes. It is made from milk, so that layers in a very smooth, creamy smell.

From Bois de Jasmin - "It’s supposedly based on the idea of kulfi – an ice cream–like frozen dessert from India usually flavored with pistachio, rosewater, and spices like saffron and cardamom. Noir Extreme is not really as exotic as all that, but the overall impression is definitely gourmand. I don’t notice the particular character of pistachio so much as almond and tonka bean, with its hay or tobacco-like undertone. These combine with a little spice (I detect cinnamon) and a lot of balsams and end up smelling like a Coke float, or some kind of bastardized affogato – American coffee poured over Ben & Jerry’s. Fun!"
