Armani Prive Cuir Noir was released in 2011. Created by Nathalie Norson, it takes its inspiration from the art of Arabian tanners - from Cordoba, Spain to the Atlas Mountains. If leather scents aren't normally your thing, try this. It is soft and incensy and woodsy all wrapped up in the softest leather imaginable. Like leather wrapped in Armani/Prive Bois d'Encens. Just gorgeous, like James Dean baking bread for you.
It has notes of sandalwood, rose, coriander, nutmeg, leather, guaiac, oud, Tahitian vanilla, and benzoin. It is an eau de parfum, edp.
From Olfactorias Travels - "Cuir Noir is a journey. During its long wear-time, it develops dramatically, from cool and distant oud-leather scent to a warm, almost gourmand vanilla-benzoin base to snuggle into. It is like a biker getting rid of his leather jacket at the end of the day and with a smile revealing his warm body and the fresh pastry he brought home that he now offers for dessert."
Fragrantica: "A delicious and refined saffron suede like scent. It smells like skin but better, and has a velvety leather feel. Not a harsh or handbag like at all. Just soft suede like vanillic leather that floats like a veil."
Fragrantica: "A very creamy, rich yet light woody oriental with saffron topnotes and a very smooth benzoin and vanilla drydown."
