In A Northern Wood is the scent of a primeval forest sanctuary. With notes of elemi balsam, balsam fir needles, charred cedar heartwood, dark oakmoss, opoponax, aged oud wood, deers tongue fern, woodsmoke, aromatic fungi, patchouli and loam.
This is the alcohol free perfume, not an oil. It is also free of parabens, phthalates, PDGs and other unpleasant things. Alkemia is hand-blended and small batch perfumery using natural essences, ethically rendered accords, and lab-created aroma molecules.
Alkemia: I fell in love with it the at the very first sniff. It has become a staple in my collection now. It is perfect amount of woody and fresh green with earthy and smoky notes adding balance and groundedness.
Alkemia: Absolutely love this one. Very woody and dark. The fungi note is absolutely beautiful. Pairs very well with Electric Fur if you're looking for something sexy. 10000/10, this fragrance house NEVER misses!!!
Alkemia: Bought this in a sample set and I must say, it's surprisingly one of my favourites. The opening is very pine heavy, but afterwards it smells like tree resin, woody but also kind of spicy. I layered it with Love Among the Ruins and the result was the earthy and foresty scent I've been looking for! Would buy the full size.
Alkemia: My partner and I love this. It smells like over turned mycelium filled soil that just got rained on. As it dries down it becomes more of a woody, wet, patchouli. If you like the smell of overturning a damp, rotting log in the woods with pine sap in the cold breeze, you’ll like it.
