Description

Sunset Riot is a woody, floral fragrance with a key note of pink pepper, offering a tingling floral and rose scent. Orange flower's citrus kick gives a lightly punchy and fresh edge, whilst base notes of cedarwood complete the perfume with a richly warm and earthy finish that balances the coolness of orange flower. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

All Saints Sunset Riot Reviews

Fragrantica: Baccarat Rouge meets Gucci Rush and have a beautiful love child. This has the same strong opening as Baccarat but a more floral centre. The dry down is, on me, very similar to Gucci Rush. It lasts 6 to 8 hours very well. It lacks that "fresh coconut" addictiveness I get from Baccarat Rouge that not everyone gets, but it's a magnificent amber, full of personality. It's a great dupe and a gem of its own.

Fragrantica: Marshmallow clouds but make it urban and edgy. Unisex. Intimate scent. When my boyfriend wears this I want to hug him all day. Wish it had more projection and staying power. Similar feel to Ariana’s Cloud but not so sweet. Suitable to wear at any time or occasion.

The Candy Perfume Boy: Sunset Riot is a fragrance inspired by juxtapositions. It evokes the warmth and calm of a sunset but contrasts this with the chaos and energy of a riot. These contrasts come in the form of a vibrant orange note (the warm glow of the sun) and a huge dose of ambroxan (the peace and calm). In truth, the result is very similar to Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s masterpiece Baccarat Rouge 540, however Sunset Riot leans less into the candied strawberries and sugar of ethyl maltol, presenting a more luminous, ethereal signature that feels lighter and more transparent. I think it’s easily going to be the most popular.

    Lovely

Let me begin by saying a few things about Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. I must begin with this fragrance because all over the internet, All Saints Sunset Riot is compared to it and even called a dupe. Well first, I've sampled BR540 EDP and Extrait over and over. At first, I couldn't smell a thing. After finally being to smell BR, I tried, I really tried to like this coveted, and IMO, overrated fragrance, which I find smelling like iodine and off-putting citrus and some other noxious scent I can't put my finger on? People say it is sexy, and that they get so many compliments on it?! My hubby sure doesn't like it? I gave up on it...totally. Well, along comes Surrender To Chance offering All Saints Sunset Riot. I didn't even read that it resembled BR540. If I had read that, I probably wouldn't have tried it. But, OMGoodness, I'm soooo glad I got a sample. Indeed it does resemble BR540, but not in that iodine, metallic smelling way. Pink pepper and an orange citrus begin the journey. The pink pepper is one of the notes that distinguishes Sunset Riot from BR540. Also, the orange citrus is mellower and sweeter than BR540s lemon scent. There's a floral scent, but not too strong. I'm smelling a soft waft of rose. I did not get strong scents of amber or cedar wood, but they might be so subtle to ground this surprising fragrance. Occasionally, I got whiffs of an Abercrombie store...not strong or overbearing...just an infrequent remembrance of accompanying my teens in the store about a decade ago....maybe that's the cedarwood note(?), which can help this to be unisex, even though I think it leans more feminine. Don't let that Abercrombie illusion scare you; it might just be my nose. Anyway, Sunset Riot is long lasting on me (about 6 hours) with light sillage. Some say it's a BR dupe. I sort of see it, but I found it much lovelier and a bit sweeter with an occasional caramel smell without that metallic odor. It's definitely wrist sniff worthy. I can definitely see wearing this in the summer as an everyday fragrance since it isn't cloyingly sweet, heavy, or odious. It's more whimsical. BR reminds me of going fishing in a lake, where Sunset Riot reminds me of hand-holding, hugs, and soft kisses on a summer's night. Before I buy a FB, I'm going to get a 5 ml rollerball from Surrender To Chance to test it further. Also, the price point on Sunset Riot is extremely easy on your wallet compared to the overpriced BR. If you like BR, but are on the fence on spending that much $$$, I'd definitely sample Sunset Riot. Sorry this was so long.
