In the rain
Immediate top note: dirty rain on fresh grass clipping, but these clippings are in a large black lawn-size trash bag; it is a little musty. This quickly fades into the base note of a generic men's cologne. While I enjoy masculine-leaning scents (Alkemia is an all-kill in this department), this base note feels simpler and more straightforward than what I usually expect from an indie house, where I tend to look for more complexity. I also wonder about their carrier oil composition; this one was quite oily on my skin and took much longer to dry than other oil-based perfumes I’ve tried. In fact, after waiting 10 minutes, I had to rub the rest in. On the plus side, the sillage is fantastic! That base note really sticks around consistently. I usually find that fragrances fade quickly on me, but not with this one. My only other remark is that the cologne scent gave me a slight headache, but I will say that the rain note, when it first hit, was impressively close to authentic.
