Annick Goutal Vanille Exquise Reviews

Fragrantica: "Soft, creamy, nutty, stays close to you. The green note (angelica) is like a mystery and a surprise and keeps it from being predictable and straightforward.

This is a great non-gourmand vanilla, it sits on the skin like minimalistic designer jewelry - unquestionably expensive and tasteful."

Fragrantica: "With Vanille Exquise I got exactly what I expected, a cloudy, naturally sweet vanilla.
I mostly catch hints of angelica - not so cloying here as I usually think it is - and a bit of powdered almond, which work extremely well with the vanilla bean vanilla and the woody notes to keep this scent from straying into cupcake territory. It's soft and cosy, but persistent and this is what surprised me most."

    Versatile vanilla

I've read complaints abouts this not being vanillic enough and perhaps this is true if you're looking for something really sweet and gourmand. This is a rather low key, almondy and dry vanilla. The vanilla note is similar to the one in Annick Goutal Myrrhe Ardente, slightly milky, powdery and very comforting. I love it (both VE and MA)for chilly days at the office or when I dress up but want a scent that isn't too loud.

    loved it

I am normally not a vanilla scent lover or an Annick Goutal fan either, but I love this stuff. Very well done, it is "exquise" or exquisite. Just perfect, not too sweet, not too green or smoky- just right. Definitely try it!
