Reviews of Azzaro Forever Wanted Elixir
Fragrantica - "Leather fragrances really grew on me, first when I got this, I hated it. But now after getting a bottle again, I love it. It is the best from their most wanted line. Sweet candy like raspberry with some bold and smooth leather. Lasts a really long time. Signature scent worthy. 8.8/10"
Fragrantica - "Wow this actually surprised me. The opening you get a blast of some sort of lip smacker raspberry chapstick smell. Once it settles it’s a very smooth designer leather/suede smell. I was trying to figure out what the raspberry reminds me of when it blends with the heavier notes and it actually reminds me of the raspberry in ombré nomad which I’m growing to like. If I can find this on discounters someday I’ll definitely cop."
Fragrantica - "Very addictive sent profile. Opens fruity and sweet, dries down to a nice woody/leather scent. I see it usable in every weather condition except maybe during very warm days (Over 20C or 68F). If you like the 'wanted' line by Azzaro, you'll like this one. Very reminiscent of The most wanted Parfum, yet not redundant if you have said parfum."
Fragrantica - "I smelled this one on a tester at a department store. The only note I got was pineapple, I didn't get raspberry or any leather at all. My girlfriend liked this one which is weird because she absolutely hates Ombre Leather and any of its flankers. Deserves further testing.
EDIT: Tested this on skin. It's pretty damn good! Now that its on skin I definitely get the raspberry note. It doesn't turn acrid or lend too much sugary sweetness. The leather is soft, but still commands its presence and is never animalic or challenging. Cardamom adds warmth and slight spiciness and clary sage lends an herbal edge. I'm surprised at how well blended this is. I'd say because of its slight sweetness you could get away with wearing this during the warmer months. Pretty good but I don't think I'd pay retail prices for this one."
