An oriental spicy unisex fragrance, it was created by Mathilde Biuaoui and has notes of fig, black tea, cardamom, iris, bourbon, vetiver, sandalwood and tonka, BDK Parfums Gris Charnel is an EDP, eau de parfum.

While I personally cannot tolerate fig (a shame given how big of a moment fig is currently having in perfume circles) I can recognize that this FULLY deserves its hype. Gris is beautifully formulated and if fig is for you, you can't do much better. If there was ever a perfume I WISH worked on me, its this one.
On a strip, this is a beautifully balanced creamy fig kept fresh by black tea. So often the fig is prominent, yet here it is kept in balance, restrained from descending into sweetness. Except on my skin, the tea becomes a whisper and a distinct disappointment. Love this fragrance on paper but would make sure to try on skin to see if you fare better.
