By Kilian Intoxicated - In the Addictive State of Mind was launched as part of their Addictive State of Mind collection in the fall of 2014 with three fragrances. Intoxicated has notes of cardamom, mocha coffee, cinnamon, tobacco, vanilla and patchouli. Turkish coffee laced with cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla, it launches this tobacco/coffee fragrance into a place occupied only by this fragrance.
Kilian Hennessy launched By Kilian in 2007. Yup, the Cognac Hennessy, grandson to the founder of Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group, he followed his interest in scent, writing his thesis on the semantics of odors. After spending time with leading perfumers, he launched By Kilian with the Collection L'oeuvre Noire (Black Masterpiece) series. There are now 10 fragrances in that series. The over-the-top marketing copy drew a lot of criticism in the early part of his launch, but the gorgeous packaging - black lacquer boxes and black bottles - started to win us over, as did the artistry of the fragrances. Collection Arabian Nights was launched in 2009, Asian Tales in 2012, In the Garden of Good & Evil in 2012 and In the Addictive State of Mind in 2014.
From Basenotes - "Yes, coffee and cinnamon are at the core of the opening blast, a somewhat boozy mix and quite intensive although never cloying or overwhelming. The coffee is sweetish, quite rich and bears characteristics of a mocha latte, made out of good Jamaican Arabica, soft, not harsh and with a distinct milk chocolate aroma added to it. This coffee impression is a touch richer and more long lasting than in L'Artisan's Navigateur, a benchmark coffee fragrance. Nicely done."
From Reddit - "Intoxicated is an underated scent from Kilian. It has an amazing coffee note some have mentioned, and it just ticks off all the right boxes. Yes it is expensive, but it is definitely worth it! I find it lasts a long time too!"

Smells exactly like turkish coffee. Rich, sweet and spicy, which first delights me, but in an hour or so, becomes too much...almost like drinking too much coffee. Nevertheless, 5 stars, excellent perfume, I should inhale it for 15 minutes, like drinking a small cup of coffee

This is nice, but I don't smell any coffee in it, despite Kilian's advertisements.
Killian's "Intoxicated" is my new favorite perfume, edging out long-standing favorite, Tom Ford "London." "Intoxicated" is a stunningly delicious fragrance. I get compliments every single time I wear it. It has a beautiful, sweet but complex open which is dark but fruity (I guess that's the cardamon). It does NOT smell like coffee, to me anyway. It's more like some really beautiful, pungent, peppery berry if that makes sense. I am not good at distinguishing ingredients, but in this one they all add up to something really unusual and REALLY GOOD. It stays powerful and sweet thru the dry down. I like to wear this one right alongside Tom Ford's "Oud Wood" - another one that never fails to bring out the "Wow! You smell fantastic!"
