Description

Byredo Gypsy Water Body Mist was released in 2026, a lighter, summery version of the original (as described below)  From the brand - "Gypsy Water Body Mist offers a refreshing and invigorating new way to experience the signature fragrance. Formulated with aloe vera, it delicately envelops the skin in scent while helping to maintain its natural hydration. Designed with a cloud-effect pump, this lightweight mist can be applied generously to the skin, leaving an invisible veil of fragrance. Wear it on its own, layer it with the Eau de Parfum, Absolu de Parfum, or the hand and body products, or reapply throughout the day for a refreshing boost. Capturing the beauty of life in motion and the raw freedom of impermanence, the Body Mist blends lemon, juniper berries, and pepper with a smoky heart of incense, iris, and pine needle, anchored by a warm base of amber, sandalwood, and vanilla."

Byredo Gypsy Water is a tribute to the Gypsy lifestyle. Introduced in 2008, it has notes of juniper, lemon, bergamot, pepper, pine needles, incense, orris root, sandalwood, vanilla and amber.  A woody aromatic, there is an almost addictive quality to the smell of this, the musk, incense, sandalwood and vanilla have a comforting smell that feels like your best cashmere sweater.

Founded in 2006 in Sweden Byredo perfume's creator Ben Gorham (former basketball player) wanted to create perfumes of quality while keeping their production in Sweden. Gorham had been fascinated with fragrance much of his life. When he meet Pierre Wulff, a perfumer, Byredo came into being. Currently Gorham works with Olivia Giacobetti and Jerome Epinette to create his line of perfumes.

Byredo Gypsy Water Reviews

Now Smell This - "Within a few minutes, amber and sandalwood join the incense and soon swamp the rest of the composition. An hour later, the “water” part of Gypsy Water’s name becomes evident as the fragrance pulls up stakes and takes the caravan down the road. Until Gypsy Water vanishes, it has pleasant sillage and is gosh-darned likeable."

Fragrantica - "This smells like the forest, in those early morning hours when the leaves are still dewy. It's lovely. I particularly like to wear it during hot summer days, or when it's raining outside."

Fragrantica - "The scent itself is lemons and bergamots with a strong juniper on a lighter bed of vanilla and sandalwood. It has a bit of a coniferous feel too, like enjoying a light vanilla pastry with a glass of Earl Grey tea in a pine forest."
